School Notes Seniors Prepare For 1969 Graduation Events
Seniors at Bristol High School advance plans for the 1969 Class Day and graduation. Rehearsals include selections from Graduation Day Finian's Rainbow I'll Be Seeing You and the Alma Mater while the Bristol High School Chorus contributes songs for Graduation night. A May 31 dance at the Coachman Restaurant marks the senior reception with the theme Look to the Rainbow. Over one hundred couples have applied for prom bids. Intramurals launched with girls softball May 19 under Mary Stewart, with captains Linda Sherman Terry Cruz and Mary Lou Almeida. A new spring track team for girls, coached by Mrs Gizzarelli, includes about fifteen competitors, the first time girls contest such a sport. Student Council elections selected officers for next year led by President Judy Partington with VP Bob Garcia, secretary Judy Martin, treasurer Paula Oliver, and parliamentarian Alan Sousa. Sophomores elected to the council include Mary Lou Almeida Paul DuPonte Charles Falugo III Becky Gomes Denise Lanoue Richard Linn Sue McCarthy Robert Partington Lisa Pellegrino Kit Ronick. Freshmen named Sharon Josephs Donald Lanoue Cathy Mello Dawn Nunes Linda Pierce Donna Saviano Jane Silvia and Richard Wilson.
