Body of Esmond Man Found In Bay Sunday
The body of Leo C. Sullivan 29 of Esmond was found in Mount Hope Bay Sunday evening near Common Fence Point Portsmouth. Identification matched clothing a license and registration card found in his pocket. Police and medical examiner ruled death a personal crisis drowning.

The observance committee met in Burnside Memorial building to plan the town Fourth of July events for 1933. Daniel F. Dwyer was re elected chairman and Judge Edward I Leahy named orator for the patriotic exercises. A boxing show and potential bicycle race were proposed and bands were asked to donate services.

Residents on Congregational Street faced hours without water after a 4 am Sunday pipe burst forced shutoff for repairs. Water returned at 11 am but a second break at 4 pm halted service again until repairs finished around 9 pm.

Fire Destroys Former Home Of Recluse At Narrows
A fire at Bristol Narrows destroyed a driftwood shack a chicken coop and an old automobile. The hermit occupant, now at the State Infirmary, lived there 15 years. Firefighters lacking hydrants relied on booster lines water from a nearby well and help from Narrows visitors. Four local fire companies fought until after midnight. the Hawes family owns the property and it is partly insured.
