The ceremony took place Saturday at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Miss Sara Mary Bruno and Norman Toste were married by Rev. Joseph Bernardi. Attendants included Anne Bruno as maid of honor and Paul Bruno as best man. The couple will reside at 379 Wood Street.
Bernice Ann Callan daughter of Mrs Bernard M Callan and the late Bernard M Callan of 241 High street married Salvatore Parella son of Mr and Mrs Frank J Parella of 249 High street in a 10 am ceremony at St Marys Church. Rev Francis J Parella S S P Buffalo officiated with Msgr Charles H Lynch and Rev Clyde J Walsh assisting. Attendants included Miss Jo Anna Pozzi maid of honor and Frank J Parella Jr best man. The couple, after a reception at the Yacht Club, planned a wedding trip to Washington and the Pocono Mountains and will reside at 259 High Street.

Miss Barbara Diane Shusman and Joseph Brosofsky plan a July 22 wedding. Shusman’s parents Mr and Mrs Philip Shusman announce the engagement, with Shusman a Bristol High School and University of Rhode Island graduate and Brosofsky a Hope High School and Rhode Island College of Pharmacy graduate.
The Women's Guild of St. Mary's Church hosted a communion breakfast for 60 children who received their first Holy Communion at the 9 am Mass. The breakfast in the church auditorium was chaired by Mrs. Hilda Ferris, with Rev. Clyde J. Walsh speaking and each child receiving a statue. Assistants included Mrs. Mary Ferguson, Mrs. Viola Vorro, Mrs. Mary Malloy, Mrs. Katherine McGinn, Mrs. Anna Cavallaro, and Mrs. Betty Medeiros, with Henry Ferguson helping.
The Holy Rosary Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church will honor deceased member Mrs. Fortuna Squatrito tonight at 8 p m in front of the church. The Rosary will be recited and the group will attend her funeral Thursday morning at the church.
