McWilliams Balzano Elected As Elks Trustees
Past Exalted ruler Edward L. McWilliams and T Thomas Balzano were elected Elks trustees at the Bristol County Lodge meeting. Exalted ruler Alfred Shaw announced delegates to the State Elks Convention at Wakefield on June 16 17 and listed numerous alternates and attendees. A lodge of sorrow was held for the late Stanley Salmonese.

Bristol Valuation Rises Over Three Million Dollars
The Bristol tax report shows total valuation at 38,828,250 up from 35,388,100 led by the Rhode Island Veterans Home at about two million including land and equipment. Tangible property jumps 559,560 and intangible property up 841,850 drive the rise, with exemptions leaving net assessed at 28,143,675 and a tax rate of 3.62 per hundred.
