"Here's Your Infantry" will be staged at Burrs Hill Park Warren on June 6. Carl H Witherell Bristol 7th War Loan Committee chairman says the action packed show re creates an attack on a Jap pillbox with flame throwers grenades and rifles. He invites all and notes house to house solicitation on Sunday June 10 with two drives planned this year. Bonds will be sold in local schools during open house May 22 and 23.

Bristol Soldier James Serpa Killed in Action in Italy
Pvt. James P. Serpa 23, son of Mr and Mrs Manuel Serpa of 60 Rosita Avenue, was killed in action in Italy on April 23. He served with the Fifth Army after earlier action in Africa Oran Corsica and Sicily. A Bristol native, he worked for Bristol Manufacturing Corp before enlistment and had also been with Collins and Aikman. His brother Manuel P. Serpa is in the Army in Germany overseas two years.

Sgt Jerome M Donovan son of Mrs Lillian M Donovan of 14 Lincoln Avenue was wounded in action on Okinawa April 28. A member of New York 77th Statue of Liberty Division since 1942, he served with the Army 1st Amphibious Training Command and fought in Guam Leyte Kerama Islands and Okinawa. A Bristol native, he graduated Colt Memorial High in 1938 winning the Brightman Memorial Medal and worked for Collins and Aikman before enlisting.

The body of Mrs. Rosalind Gray Potter 33 Brewster Street Cambridge Mass was found off Prudence Island after her car was located abandoned on Mt Hope Bridge. The vehicle contained her coat handbag and cane and the Portsmouth police took custody of the scene. Death was ruled as self inflicted by Dr Charles Bryant medical examiner in a case handled as a suicide.
