School Committee Holds Meeting and Teacher Increases
The School Committee met last night at Colt Memorial High School to re elect teachers and approve salary increases. Perley W. Lane was re elected principal at 2900 while resigning to become assistant at Stamford High, with Frank Ashuland named candidate for successor. Rhuland was re elected assistant principal at 2100. Several high school teachers received raises, including Miriam A Downey to 1600 and Charles F E Dowd to 2100, with other increased salaries across Guiteras Reynolds and John Post Reynolds schools. Superintendent Hobbs discussed freshmen adjustment in college and noted practices at Yale Dartmount Bates and Maine.
