Town takes over rail damaged beach access path
Carmine Cirillo, chairman of the Recreation Board, said the town seized 265 acres north of the road this year after rails on a bridge and abatements were deemed unsafe. A public hearing noted the roadbed is 26 feet wide and the bridge 18 feet nine inches, with twisted and misplaced rails posing danger to beachgoers.
