Germany's war doctrine and Lusitania critique
The editorial condemns Germany's justification for sinking the Lusitania as a "might is right" theory that tramples international law. It argues noncombatants may sail on armed ships, notes Germany's claim of limited naval options, and recalls the Kaiser’s pledge to punish provocation. It ends with a rebuke to future German aggression toward America.
