Arm Smashed in Loom at Namgait Worsted Mills
Patrick Masterson a 44 year old weaver at Namgait Worsted Mills suffered a severe accident when his left arm was crushed by a loom. He received a compound fracture and an arm amputation three inches below the shoulder at Rhode Island Hospital after being taken from the Providence line. He rests in serious condition, having returned to work only yesterday after a week of illness. His brother, also a weaver, learned of the accident and a previous sibling died in a similar incident years ago.

Bristol Naval Reserves Prepare for Inspection
The annual inspection of the Bristol Naval Reserves is set for tomorrow evening at the armory. Inspections will be conducted by Charles W. Abbott of Warren, U.S.A. Retired. Last Friday a complimentary drill and inspection honored Battalion Commander William T. Bliss who praised the men’s performance.

District Court Frees Three Drunks On Minor Fines
A trio of men arrested for drunkenness appeared in district court. Frank White on Mount Hope avenue pleaded guilty and, per Capt. Morrissey, was fined two dollars plus costs by Judge Bosworth. Jacob Evers and David Carl also pleaded guilty and paid two dollars and costs each. Roger Winward had the common drunkard charge discontinued after paying costs. Carmelo Romano vs Nicholas Monosllo was continued two weeks. A. Crowley for defendant and W. O'Donnell for plaintiff.
