The funeral of Col Andrew B Meiggs was held yesterday afternoon at his Bristol Neck residence, attended by many relatives and friends. Rev William R Trotter presided, with the Bristol Train of Artillery and its Veteran Association, plus a delegation from Bristol Camp Modern Woodmen of America, in attendance.

Funeral Rites For Col Bailey Honor by Many Military Groups
Floral tributes came from Bristol Train of Artillery, Active and Veteran Association, Bristol Camp No 9548 W of A, and Hose Department of National India Rubber Co. Bearers were Cols John H. Bailey Jr Arthur W Barrett George H Bush and Henry F Card. At North cemetery a squad fired three volleys over the grave. Taps by Musician Charles Juiscomb closed the solemn service for a man keenly interested in military matters.

Tomorrow the Rhode Island Citizens' Historical Association hosts a 8 p.m. ceremony in Providence's old State House with Governor Higgins and several honorees delivering addresses, plus a musical program.

Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary in Local Town
The fiftieth anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew P. Anderström takes place next Tuesday May 7. Mrs. Anderström, born Louisa R. Lake, sister of the late John Lake, married to Mr. Anderström May 7 1857 by Rev. Nathan A. Reed. He is 79, she ten years younger. both well known here.
