The Chamber of Commerce banquet drew a smaller crowd but satisfied attendees. The Colt Band of 30 under Prof Wolham Perrara played from 8 to 9, Burke's Orchestra provided dancing music until 1 am, with many encores. Proceeds from the event are not yet tabulated but a substantial sum was raised.
