Islanders in Borneo Build First Hospital Wing
In Kapit an island community works to expand a new hospital with a 24 bed wing and service units while doctors from China treat local Ibans. Drs Ding and Lil Kin, aided by nurse Fannie DeWar, tackle pneumonia and tuberculosis as the clinic operates from a living room setting with a rotating team handling scarce medicines and patient care.
