The Bristol PTA discussed a motion by Wits Vasta Ruggiero at Thursday night’s meeting to focus on eliminating serious health conditions affecting children and community health. President Lester Gurney stressed the policy is inclusive and nonpartisan, and the PTA will cooperate with the Town Council within that framework. The PTA plans to disseminate health education, hold preschool diabetes detection and health round-ups, and assist with police inoculations and other social services.
