Alternate Sewer Plan To Correct Health Menace Discussed By Board
A health hazard in the Sowams Drive area prompted a joint discussion by the Flaming Board and Sewer Commission. They considered a trunk line from Sowams Drive through Metacom Avenue to Perry and Wood streets, with 1800 feet of trunk and 3600 feet of laterals. Estimated costs ranged around 626 400 plus drawings, with general taxation likely funding the trunk line and residents possibly paying for laterals. A firm engineering input is planned for next week to finalize a concrete plan.
