School Committee Holds Organizational Meeting
The annual organizational meeting of the School Committee was held Wednesday evening in the superintendent’s office at the Byfield School. Members present included President Rev. W. R. Trotter, Dr. Howard W. Church, Hav. Aarsy, WH. Shepard, Dr. W. Fred Williams, Dr. Cornelius J. Hasbrouck, Augustine P. Nerone, Secretary Philip Brady, and Superintendent John P. Reynolds.

Re-elected Leadership At School Board Meeting
Rev. W R Trotter was unanimously re elected President and Secretary Philip Brady along with Superintendent John P Reynolds were re elected to their posts. The meeting opened with Trotter presiding and Brady reconfirmed with same salary as last year. Brady thanked members for the honor and pledged faithful service as minutes were read.

Explosion Injures Two At Volt Memorial High School
In a laboratory accident Tuesday at Volt Memorial High School two chemistry pupils were burned by a sulphur and potassium chlorate explosion. Miss Helen Potter suffered burns and cuts to her right hand while Ellery Graham was burned on the left hand. Dr A M Merriman treated Miss Potter’s injuries. No serious harm reported.
