No Payroll Deductions For 1946 Red Cross Drive

Mrs. Samuel D. Clark announces there will be no payroll deductions in any mills for the 1946 Red Cross drive. She notes workers report coworkers saying their husbands donate at the mill but stresses only voluntary gifts via residential and club contributions have been recorded from various individuals and groups including J. Winthrop DeWolf and the Bristol Phoenix Publishing Co. plus St. Michael's societies and Rotary, K of P, and D.A.R. chapters.

The Bristol Zoning Board of Review denied Mrs. Stella De Palma’s request to install two gasoline pumps and two 2,000 gallon tanks at 578 Wood Street. Town dump future to be settled at town meeting
