Paul Wing, formerly spelling bee chief, has become chief quizzer on Youth vs. Age as the program moved time and network. Wing, actor and writer by trade, has been in radio since 1923 directing juvenile NBC programs and has authored books on the topic. He appears Saturday evenings at 9 00 p.m. EST.
D Josephine B Neal a noted infantile paralysis specialist and leader is General Electric's twentieth Woman of the Week appearing with Phil S iltman ys all girl orchestra on the Hour of Charm program. Dr Neal a director of New York City's Bureau of Laboratories has thirty years of study and treatment in infantile paralysis. The selection coincides with the March of Dimes campaign led by President Roosevelt. Edward Arnold the Good News of 1940 MC has written Lorenzo Goes to Hollywood a memoir of early training trials and rise to fame.
A Bristol reader writes as a Drive Committee member urging local residents to give generously to the Salvation Army fund drive. He recalls World War I service by Army members, praises their aid to soldiers, notes local social work led by William Wood, and commends Robert W Nelson for chairing the drive, asking for broad civic support.

St Mary's parochial school presents Moll Be Jolly an operetta in two acts directed by the Sisters of Mercy. A 63 member cast and chorus perform numbers by grades one through four and include a Boy Scout drill. Lead roles listed among Rita Serbst Thomas Crowley and many students.
Joseph Bruno was elected junior vice commander of Kearney Post American Legion to replace Fred W Coggeshall who resigned. William A Bottomley announced the move. Skipper Arthur J Belmore of Kearney Unit of Sea Scouts was a candidate. Plans for the 21st anniversary observance are in progress with a committee to be named by Commander Walter F Briggs. The post re registers the Sea Scout ship and allows use of post headquarters.
Money raised from benefit basketball games in the Andrews school gym supported Bristol senior high school band uniforms. The Colts faculty beat Pawtucket high school faculty 58 to 19 in the feature. Rogers High freshmen of Newport won 37 to 23 over Guiteras junior high. Agatiello and Huston led Bristol, Coffin starred for Pawtucket. Referees John Short and Angelo Gizzarrell. Time four eight minute periods.
