Netopian Society Observes Washington Bi-Centennial Play
The Netopian Society of the First Congregational Church held a Washington bi-centennial observance with a Colonial Garden Party playlet. Members wore colonial costumes while relics of the Revolutionary era were displayed and a Betsy Ross tableau followed. Robert F Munro played George Washington and Miss Mabel Dunbar Betsy Ross. refreshments were served after.

Town Council votes 3 to 2 to exonerate Chief Richard J. Kavanaugh after a 90 minute executive session. Patrolman Henry J. Sylvia Jr. was the complainant. charges were dismissed with the Chief explaining his side. The meeting also awarded Mrs Vasta La Ruggeiro a vote of thanks for reclaiming 117.25 spent on aid to two families.
