Bristol Youths to Register in Warren Post Office
Bristol youths aged 21 born between October 16 last year and July 1 must register next Tuesday at the Warren Post Office. James C. Ruggiero, Bristol County Selective Service Board secretary, said registration on the second floor runs from 7 am to 9 pm. About 250 Bristol County youths will be registered, covering those born on or before October 17, 1919 and on or before July 1, 1920.

Fourth Fund Benefit Bridge For St Michael’s July Celebration
Bristol women led by Mrs Gladys Brightman held a successful bridge event at St Michael’s Parish House to aid the July Fourth celebration. Sixty five tables played, with hall and home games, and candy boxes decorated in red white and blue. Prize winners included Mrs F Reginald Dimond and Mrs Charles F E Hamilton among many. Child Falls Into Boiling Water at Home
Lillian Maria Punticelli two year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Peter Punticelli of 194 East State Street suffered second degree burns after falling into a pail of boiling water at home. The child was removed from the stove area after water was heated on an old oil stove and set on the floor. First aid and hospital transfer followed.

Richard Kenneth Belmore, 11, son of Arthur J. Belmore, Bristol Yacht Club, suffered severe burns and a hand injury when a toy cannon exploded. The incident occurred as the gun was being moved from the clubhouse to the wharf. Belmore received first aid from Dr. William Serbst and was later taken to St Joseph's Hospital in Providence where he remained under care with infection risk pending.

Mirimar a 21 room two story mansion on Hope Street once owned by Town Councilman Francan I deWolf sold Wednesday at auction for $9000. Judge William T O'Donnell was the winning bidder, purchasing under the hammer handled by Harry S Bates for AL A Edmonds. About 100 people attended the sale. The 1940 tax valuation was $27 000 and the property sits on 36792 square feet with a 312 foot Hope Street frontage, featuring five baths a garage and sea wall.
