Mass Meeting at Pastime to Recruit for Coast Artillery
Bristol residents urged to volunteer for the 19th Company as the meeting at the Pastime Theatre showcases speakers Captain John Collins Captain George A Taylor Rear Admiral John R Edwards Comrade John Holton Frank Hammill and the Coast Artillery band. The unit will assemble at the Naval Reserve Armory at 7 45 ahead of a procession to the Pastime.

Thieves took ten hens valued at $15 from Charles F Herreshoff’s Poultry yard Friday evening. Police and special constable searched until 4 am but found no trace. A suspicious man was seen near Usher Cove and a sail boat possibly used by the thieves.

Constabulary Tonight in Uniform at Naval Armory

Uniformed members are asked to wear their uniforms tonight while those without may obtain them at the armory. Edward J. W. Court finds Raposa guilty in Fifth District case

Flag Pole and Flag for Common Fourth of July
A 91 foot flag pole will be erected near the band stand this week with a 20 by 30 foot wool banner. The flag dedication and town hall exercises will follow the parade around noon. Donations toward the pole and flag total about ten dollars short of the needed amount.
