99 Receive Diplomas In Graduation At Andrews Auditorium
A Colt Memorial High School graduation for 99 seniors was held in Andrews Memorial Auditorium. Providence College President Very Reverend Robert J. Slavin delivered the address. Diplomas were presented by Mrs. Russell S. Bray. Canon Daniel K. Davis gave the invocation and benediction. Herman Grabert gave the welcome. Jean N. Campbell read the valedictory, Vivian Fojo the salutatory. Prizes were awarded by John Birke. Class gift presented by Ernest J. Calandra to August Arruda. The program opened with the orchestra.

Bristol Common Closure Affects Carnivals After 1952
The Bristol town council passed an ordinance to close the common to carnivals and circuses after January 1 1952, allowing only the July 4 celebration to use the site. The Colonial Santo Christo Club was granted use for August 13 to 18. Council members argued the common should serve youth athletics and town needs, not frequent carnivals, and the motion carried unanimously.

Formal Ceremonies Mark Opening Of Playground Activities

Delinquent Personal Taxes Cleared From Records
More than 300 residents with long standing personal tax delinquencies were given a clean slate by the town council after a 174 page report by Finance Chair Paul C Millemaggi tax collector Amos Gorham and town solicitor Lucien Capone. The panel cited locatability deaths moves illegality and six year-plus delays.
