Bristol Girl Scout Council appoints day camp officers

The Bristol Girl Scout Council named officers for August day camp at Holmes House. Rose Tufarola Wins Rotary Achievement Medal

The Rotary Club awarded the Achievement Medal to Mrs Rose Tufarola 15 at a Wednesday noon meeting at the Hotel Belvedere. Rev Herbert D Graetz delivered the presentation. Tufarola, a Guiteras Memorial School junior, will enter Colt Memorial High School in the fall. the medal honors the junior high pupil with the greatest improvement in school work.

Collins and Aikman Protest Sewage Connection Action

Banquet Opens Spanish War Veterans Encampment Program

The 3rd annual encampment of the Department of Rhode Island United Spanish War Veterans opens with a banquet honoring Department Commander Edward P Gladding at Hotel Belvedere on July 3. More than 400 attendees are expected from across the state for the encampment and the 20th annual Department Auxiliary convention. Meetings continue July 4 in Colt Memorial Hall, with potential Fourth of July parade leadership by Gladding’s ex-members of the First Division Naval Battalion Rhode Island Militia, some 75 veterans of Bristol.
