Bristol Playground Schedule Announced for Summer Program
Anthony Agatiello and Miss Natomi Sousa of the Bristol Board of Recreation announced a nine week summer program at Bristol playgrounds starting Monday at 938 am ending August 19 with awards night. Hours are 430 pm daily except first week. first day registration earns free lolly pops. Activities include crafts, games, music, dancing, dramatics, weekly contests and trips to Prudence Island Crescent Park Haffenreffer Museum Nike Site Roger Williams Park and the Warren playground. One week focuses on charity fundraising.

July 4 Speaking Program to Feature Justice Weisberger

Canadian Pipers Here For Dance Grand July Ball
Two Canadian bag pipers from the Black Watch Regimental Band of Montreal will travel to Bristol for the Grand March at the Fourth of July Ball. They arrive June 27 for the National Guard Armory gala, after performing at the St Lawrence Seaway opening and for dignitaries. Miss Fourth of July contestants will be presented and judged during the dance, with complimentary cha cha records for the first 50 women. Doors open at 9 am and the event runs to 1 am.
