The Colt Memorial High School class numbers between 20 and 25 with colors brown and gold and the motto Carpe diem. Commencement is Thursday June 28 at 8 p m in Memorial Hall with a reception and dance June 29. School officers include Edward Trudell and Henry Serbst Jr among others. The Bristol Grammar School will graduate about 30 students on Tuesday June 2 at 2 30 p m in Memorial Hall with officers Wallace Henry Abbott and Alice May Barclay leading the class.

Meeting Aims to Recruit 19th Company Support

Drunk in Fall River man fined in Fifth District Court
Manuel Perry of Fall River, who attended a relative’s wedding, was found near Borden and Munro avenues in the early hours and fined $2 and costs for drunkenness. Alexander O'Brien also fined $2 and costs for reveling on State street. Cherillo cases continued two weeks. Walter Simpson et al. vs Narcisson continued one week. Preparations for the Fourth Parade Lead by Col Anthony
The Fourth of July Committee named Col Andrew Weeks Anthony as Chief Marshal after a Maine sojourn. The Herreshoff Marine Band will play for the parade and a concert on the common. Portuguese bands, drum corps, and a Citizen’s Division are invited to join. The plan moves the exercises to the common with flag raising and the Declaration of Independence reading. Senator LeBaron B Colt may deliver the oration.

Threat to Kill Charged After Gun Threat and Arrest
Vinto Benianino was arrested Saturday night by Capt James Goff and Patrolman Hugh Kelley at Raffaele Carle's home on Catherine Street. A .32 revolver was found on him. Benianino faced charges of carrying a concealed weapon and threatening to shoot Mrs Carle, with bail set at 500 and 300 dollars respectively. He pleaded not guilty and was jailed in Bristol County. He formerly lived in Ansonia and worked at Narragansett Rubber Company. he has a brother Irving in Brooklyn.
