Graduation notices for Colt Memorial and Bristol Grammar high schools

Graduation exercises for Colt Memorial High School are set for Thursday June 27 at 8 p m in Memorial Hall. Bristol Grammar School holds graduation Friday June 28 at 2 30 p m in the John Post Reynolds School auditorium. The Colt class includes 35 or 36 students with officers, colors red and gold, and the motto Truth Always Conquers. The pupil paper will be The Green and White with an editorial staff listed.

Bristol Constabulary Elects Same Officers for Year

The Bristol Constabulary held its annual election last week and reselected most officers for the coming year. Captain Fred Williams, Lieutenants Asa n Hathaway and Robert A. McCaughey, Clark Samuel D. Wardwell, and a committee on target practice with Lieut Asa n Hathaway were named. Adjutant Carl B. Rockwell Jr. and John A. R. Wood Bars were also listed.

Minstrel Show Tonight From Third Company Group

The Third Company, Fourth Rodman, formerly the 19th Company AC of this town, will present a minstrel show at the Pastime theatre this evening for the fund of the company. The show promises a very enjoyable event and a packed house is hoped.

Markers defeat Cutters in rubber game on Common

The Markers beat the Cutters 15 to 9 in the second game of the series at the Common on Saturday morning. Murphy pitched well for the Markers and received strong team support. The win earned the Markers a purse of $10 donated by both teams.

Colt Juniors Defeat Rotary A C 24 to 8 in Big Win

The Colt Juniors defeated Rotary A C on the Common Saturday afternoon 24 to 8. Barry pitched and Baker caught for Colt Juniors. Ferreira and Serbst were the battery for Rotary A C. Barry struck out 15, and Colt Juniors scored 7 runs in the first inning.

Preparedness Drive Begun For St Josephs Hospital Fund

A town meeting at the Y M C A plans a statewide drive to raise 200000 for St Josephs Hospital to care for Rhode Island soldiers. James F Lavander leads Bristol's 1500 share with events including a G A R Hall dance and a St Marys Church whist to fund the emergency fund.

Bristol War Flags 376 Service Members Named

The Bristol War Historian reports 376 local men in U S service, with 160 Army volunteers 86 Navy volunteers and 130 in the National Army by draft. The Service Flag will display blue stars forming 376 on the white center when raised on July Fourth at the Community flag pole.
