War Savings Stamp Drive Leads Local Campaign
A six day War Savings Stamp drive begins tomorrow under Miss Julia H. Gorham as local chair, with Judge Edward L. Leahy directing Bristol County. Volunteers from many groups organize pledge days at the YMCA, urging funds to reach Rhode Island’s 1918 target of 12,630,100 in stamps.

St Josephs Hospital Drive Plans Completed For General Drive
The St Josephs Hospital Preparedness Drive completes plans for a big drive tomorrow led by Mrs John Condon. A booth at the post office will collect donations and factories will be canvassed. A general meeting is set for Saturday at 8 pm. James F Lavan der directs the campaign with an executive and general committee listed. About $135 was raised from recent events at St Marys church and a Daughters of Isabella dance.

Public Bath House Opens With New Comfort Stations
The public bath house starts the season next week with two new comfort stations and two shower baths for men and women. Located by the sea wall, they are hidden from the street and connected by a wooden platform. Edson Fobes of the Y M C A oversees operations as Special Constable, with an additional officer on duty to ensure order. Open 10 am to 8 pm, admission is five cents, with booklets of ten tickets at 25 cents and private rooms costing extra.

D A R Summer Conference Planned at Newport
The Rhode Island D A R State Conference will meet in Newport on Wednesday June 26 with a 11 am State House session and a 3 pm visit to the United States Training Station for weekly drill. Members will lunch on the beach and ride the Bristol Ferry train from Union Station at 8 12 am.
