Sprague of Cranston join former Senator William H Vanderbilt of Portsmouth in accepting invitations to the Bristol Independence Day parade. Jo seph Pratt of Woonsocket cannot attend. Gov. Robert E. Quinn aims to have National Guard troops present. The Fraternal Order of Eagles plans its own division. Invitations extend to Samuel and John Colt and Rhode Island Soldiers' Home veterans, the Town Council and Town Clerk John W. Church.

The St Andrew's Club of St Michael's Church will hold its annual lawn fete tomorrow from 3 to 6 pm on grounds beside the Holmes House and Rectory garden.
