School Committee OKs Americanization School transfer

The Rhode Island Company will abandon tracks on High street south of the freight station near Franklin street at the close of business next Sunday. Passenger cars will run no farther than that point, due to funds shortage and the city council granted permission. The move, while slowing electric car service in the south end, is tied to broader trolley road financial troubles and a future repaving of High street to improve traffic flow on Hope street.

A Civil War veterans reception hosted by Dr and Mrs W Fred Williams on Hope Street drew near 100 attendees last Saturday.
