Premier Thread Plans August Move To Town
Richard Mahoney of Premier Thread Co says the plant in the old Collins and Aikman building on Thames Street will transfer machinery from Central Falls by late August. Bristol bookie Chirico fined for horse bet recording
Louis Chirico, 33, of 652 Hope St Bristol, was fined 100 dollars after pleading guilty at a special session of the fifth district court to recording and registering horse bets. Acting Judge Joseph D Accardi presided. St Bernard W Manchester of the state police said Chirico was stopped on Hope Street near Calt Drive with two racing slips eight Armstrong racing sheets and six pads. The judge warned that a similar offense could bring up to 15 years in prison with no fine if convicted again. Chirico had no prior record.
