Local Man from Bristol Accepted to NSF Science Institute
Anthony J. Russo, a Bristol science teacher, was named one of 60 high school teachers nationwide accepted for the National Science Foundation 1959 Summer Institute at Oneonta State University Teachers College, Oneonta NY. He will attend June 29 to August 7 with a $75 weekly stipend plus travel allowances, meeting with mathematicians and scientists and taking graduate courses in the latest methods for science and mathematics education.

YMCA shelter project advances on Hog Island site
