Paper grows clothes that wear like fabric on K-2000 textile
A Kimberley-Clark venture near Neenah Wisconsin develops K-2000 a paper based textile from balsam spruce and jack pine designed to rival woven fabrics. Made on papermaking machines the soft durable material can be printed draped and sewn with glued or heat sealed fasteners. It promises inexpensive disposable utility garments and broader future uses in fashion.
