Funeral services for Capt. Nathanael Greene Herreshoff, 90, pioneer yacht builder, were held Saturday at St. Michael's Church Bristol. Canon Parshley officiated. burial followed at Juniper Hill Cemetery. Prominent yacht figures and officials attended. bearers were six Herreshoff employees. honorary bearers included Vanderbilt, Morgan and Tod of the New York Yacht Club.

The 40th annual observance drew visitors from surrounding communities. The Espirito Santo Club and allied groups led two street processions and a band concert. The crown of the Holy Ghost was carried to Jaco S Raposa's home and back, then placed on a pedestal at the hall. Manuel Carvalho Alves won to keep the crown for the year.

Reserves To Receive Pistol Instructions
Members of the Bristol Police Reserve Association will receive pistol handling instruction on Saturday at the Providence police range. Arthur Casse, president, announced the group will meet at police headquarters at 9 am and travel to the range in private vehicles. The next regular meeting moves to the second Sunday next month to avoid conflict with Independence Day celebrations. Officers for the year will be chosen at the August meeting by a committee including Erasmo Mancini, Jack Salvagy, Frank Panzarella, Joseph Marshall and Ralph Quito.
