Bristol Warren Water Works Stock Transfers Toward New York Buyer
Large portions of the Bristol and Warren Water Works stock, once owned by the late Col Samuel P Colt, are expected to transfer this week to the Community Water and Gas Service Company of New York. The $400000 controlling stake left in trust with Industrial Trust Company is likely to move to the New York concern soon. Additional Colt trust shares include $100000 for Colt Memorial High School and $50000 for local poor relief. Other $125000 in shares to religious and charitable groups have reportedly sold, with remaining transfers tied to town meetings in March 1929.

Fourth of July Committee Awards Prizes and Decor Plans
The Fourth of July Committee meets in Burnside Memorial to approve 50 for water battle prizes 25 15 and 10 and to decorate the Belvedere Hotel balcony. Walter E Munro is an honorary member and Martin T Feeney to furnish badges and 1500 souvenir medallions. A war vessel for the parade is undecided while Senator Gerry seeks USS Wright assignment. Secretary Stewart invites the Shriners Drum Corps to join the parade.
