The 15 year Navy veteran from Stamford born Irving June married to Mary Foster in 1914 has a daughter Marguerite. He was selected from over 16 000 men to fly second in command with Commander Byrd and is currently in charge of an airplane squadron at Hampton Roads Virginia. Reckless Driver Arrested After Wood Street Crash
Ernest Caizzi of 241 State Street faced Memorial Day charges for reckless operation after his southbound Wood Street collision at about 10:30 a.m. damaged Antone Perry’s car and a Bristol Fish Co truck. he was released on 200 bail to await Fifth District Court. A second crash later that day involved John A Sousa and Antonio Mascola at High and Franklin streets with no injuries.

Fire damages barber shop on Thames Street
Firefighters from three volunteer companies responded to an 18th district alarm at 1055 yesterday morning for a blaze in a barber shop on Thames Street in a former Harbor View Club building. Believed to start from a gas hot water heater, the fire spread into a partition and was knocked down with chemicals. Damages estimated at 50 dollars.
