Boy Scouts Camp At Mount Hope This Weekend
King Philip District scouts from Bristol County East Providence and Seekonk will camp at Mount Hope this weekend the site prepared for a Nike installation. About 250 to 300 scouts attend a Scoutmaster Camp with tents setup 8 am tomorrow and a Sunday program featuring religious services a review parade flag ceremony and certificates for campcraft excellence. Brown University hosts the land donated by the Haffenreffer family aiding Narragansett Council historic pow wow site.

The Bristol County All Stars won the 19th New England duckpin tournament in Attleboro Mass with a three game total of 2011, beating Guida's Dai Blue Ribbons of New Britain Conn who led with 1954. Christine Jackson won the New England mixed doubles with 771. Raoul McCarthy top man 436, Harvey Chauvin 425, Wil Jarvais 420, Carmine Merella 405, Gene Mansi 325.
