Dump truck detaches trailer. driver cited after pole knocked down
July 17 report states a dump truck with a low bed trailer driven by Vito A. Marcaccio Jr of Johnson RI split from its hitch and rolled 117 feet off Meta com Ave striking a NE Telephone Co pole. Marcaccio, with a Class 3 eyeglass license, was checked by police. Vehicle belonged to Narragansett Improvement Co of Providence. Four or five boys reportedly damaged traffic signs on Mulberry Rd.
