Bristol Community Players to Stage Comedy This October
Bristol Community Players board voted to incorporate as a nonprofit. Miss Mary V Scanlon named Historian and board member. A September membership meeting will set a one act and musical program, with full productions planned for October and April. Tryouts for October are the week of September 5. The comedy is to be chosen from Broadway titles such as Send Me No Flowers and Suds in Your Eyes.

Battery C Begins Two Week Federal Duty in Swansea Mass
Battery C of the 243rd Artillery R. L. National Guard departs tomorrow for two weeks of federal duty at the Nike Site in Swansea Massachusetts. Under Captain Americo Texeira the unit will fill positions at the Army installation during training. Formerly coast artillery and anti aircraft, Battery C now specializes in the Nike Ajax guided missile.
