Bristol Women Enlist in Red Cross Motor Corps Division
Eight Bristol women enrolled as prospective members of the Red Cross motor corps division, Bristol Chapter. Mrs A Sidney Hershhof named chairman. others include Mrs Norton Zinderstein, Mrs Ernest Brown, and Mrs Harleigh Tingley. Members must drive 100 hours yearly, pass first aid and driving tests, and cover uniform and liability costs. Ex officio oversight by Mrs Clara Diman. A separate first aid group forms at Hope street with classes. calls go to Mrs Diman or Mrs DeWolf. The Bristol unit is the first on this side of Narragansett Bay, with others in East Greenwich, Warwick, and Providence.
