Poetess Mary Murphy Publishes War Verse in Anthology

Miss Mary E. Murphy of 106 Bradford Street has a poem in the Crown Publications war poetry collection Songs of the Free. Inspired by her brother Staff Sergeant Henry D Murphy with the Army Air Forces, the two-verse piece was written on a night shift break at US Rubber Co. The Fall River native, long employed at the plant, views poetry as a side line and aims to publish more of her lyrics, hoping for recognition and profit from her verse and songs.
