Artist presents Bristol Yacht Club with painting of Bristol Light
Marine artist Paule Loring and Sevellon Brown presented the Bristol Yacht Club with a painting of the old Bristol Light. The gift was given to Mrs. Robert Rulon Miller and Mrs. George Lamb, wives of the commodore and vice commodore. The painting shows the light before the Mt. Hope Bridge and a pond at Ferry Road with a square rigged vessel in the background.

Auto Bus Collision on Ferry Road Injures Passenger
On June 30 at 10 13 P M an automobile driven by Cdr William S Luce collided with a Short Line bus on Ferry Road after the bus stopped to pick up three women. Luce 37 suffered facial injuries and shock. his car was towed. Bus driver Cornelius McDaniel 39 reported seven aboard none injured. Two sailors from USS Perry were later detained for a disturbance at Thames street cafe and released to Navy Shore Patrol.
