The Ever Ready Engine and Hose Company held its annual banquet at Thames Street station with about 100 attendees. State Senator Bertram W. Wall and Town Council President J Floyd Huestis urged reviving the firemen’s ball to fund a disabled firefighters’ fund and to follow the police benevolent fund model.
