Providence Journal pressure in Senate race critique

The Providence Journal is accused of slyly pressuring Goddard supporters in the General Assembly to back Senator Wetmore to block Col. Colt. The text claims the Journal pretends democrats and independents were sent to elect Goddard but would prefer Colt kept from Washington, urging Wetmore’s backers to switch sides. The piece labels the Journal self serving and partisan.
