Hasbrouck Cleared In Scarlet Fever Case Trial

The Bristol health officer Dr. O J Hasbrouck was discharged after the district court debated whether he wilfully neglected to report a scarlet fever case. Judge Joyce found the prosecution failed to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, noting medical opinions varied and Hasbrouck acted on his best judgment. The crowded hearings highlighted disputes among local doctors, with testimonies from Sheriff Cady and Superintendent Reynolds cited as pivotal. The case continues on the third page.
