Priest Pleas for Tax Extension to Aid Poor

Fr. Vieira of St. Elizabeth's Church urged the Town Council to extend the time to pay 1931 taxes due from property owners. He warned that unpaid taxes may lead to public sale and loss of homes amid unemployment and poverty, and praised charitable groups for aid while calling for relief measures.

Ever Ready Banquet Honors Fire Officials and Guests

The Ever Ready Engine and Hose Company held its annual banquet at Thames Street station with over 100 attendees including state and town officials. Town Solicitor Hammill presided.
