About 20 members of Kearney Post No 6 American Legion met in the post home on Franklin Street for the monthly gathering despite poor weather. Storms keep highway dept very busy after fierce storm
The town’s highway department reports heavy storm work with sand and plow crews clearing streets. Crews reduced 125 to 25 yards of slush, cleared catch basins, and prepared barrels of sand for resident aid. Six new truck tires were purchased, and public utilities faced minor burdens with bus service disrupted in Providence.
