Four Girl Members to Attend Two-State YMCA Conference
Four Bristol Tri-Hi-Y members Lenora Lopes Nancy Mascena Meredith Robinson and Delores Donato will travel to Middleboro Massachusetts for the 12th annual Rhode Island Massachusetts YMCA girls and Tri-Hi-Y conference February 29 to March 2. Miss Naomi Sousa and A F Means accompany them. The conference theme is Take My Hands with Dr J Duane Squires as principal speaker. Lt Arthur A Fontaine will leave the Coast Guard tender Spar to attend merchant marine inspection at the Coast Guard Academy. New skipper Lt Open Shaw will take command of the Spar in Bristol.

A second snowstorm in less than 10 days blanketed Bristol with just over six inches of snow on Wednesday. Highway crews, aided by town trucks and hired plows, battled the slick roads, causing one minor accident on Hope Street near Colt Drive.
