Valentine Seal Payments Sought This Week
The Children's Heart Association urges all unpaid Valentine Seals recipients to remit by week’s end during American Heart Week. They aim to finish their third annual Seal Sale by February 20 and join early in the national fundraising drive. Payments should go to the association at 100 North Main Street, Providence 3, R. I.

Funeral for Mrs Bertha J Steffen Held at Connors
Funeral services for Mrs Bertha J Schoeter Steffen 66 who died Tuesday morning at Warren Nursing Home Metaom Avenue were held at James E Connors Funeral Home and First Congregational Church. Rev Charles R Cooley officiated with burial in North Cemetery. Bearers included Carl Deiss Sr Harry Deiss Jr Dames Cabral Joseph Costa Essie Tavares and Daniel Moniz. Wife of Carl Steffen gardener at Rockwell Estate she was born in Pinneberg Germany Oct 11 1883 daughter of William and Helen Schroeter. She came to the United States after 1930, moved to Bristol from Connecticut about 15 years ago and was member of Mt Hope Chapter O S and the First Congregational Church. She left ten other immediate survivors besides her husband.

Funeral services for William B Spooner Jr 63 of 435 Auburn Street Cranston who died Sunday at Tane Brown Hospital were conducted at Irving H Drabble Chapel Providence with Rev T Porter Drumm officiating Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery Pawtucket with St Albans Lodge F A M bearers present He is survived by two sons William H Spooner and Thomas Spooner three grandchildren and his widow Bertha Mary Pollard Spooner died in 1943 He was a Providence resident for years before moving to Cranston and ran an antique shop He was a 32nd degree Mason in St Albans Lodge

Scout Corps Plans Uniform Design and Fundraisers
A Bristol County district board and drum corps committees will meet to pick a uniform design. The Bar rington Town Hall hosts a Star Scout advancement review Monday at 7 30 pm. Drum Corps and Women's Auxiliary announce March food sale and a March rummage sale for equipment funds. A Matrimonial Minstrel Show is planned for April at the Guiteras auditorium to aid the drum corps fund.
