School Children Tickets Remain At Old Price
Superintendent William C. Hobbs reported to the School Committee that bus tickets for school children would stay at the old rate after meetings with the United Electric Railways Company and the New England Transportation Company. Drivers had told children tickets were no longer valid, but officials secured a continuation of the previous 40 cent strip and 4 cent fare as new tickets were issued at Franklin Street station. Tickets were to be redeemed and the old rate applied, with transportation services to duplicate existing arrangements.
