Missionary Society Plans All Day Luncheon and Speaker

The Women’s Missionary Society of the First Congregational Church meets tomorrow at the Manse on Hope Street starting at 10. Members bring basket lunches and refreshments will be provided by Mrs Charles R. Cooley. Morning sewing precedes a 2 o’clock business meeting chaired by Mrs Harry Town, followed by a lecture by Mrs Charles F Towne, a noted statewide speaker.

Concert Planned Friday at St Michael s Parish House

St Michael s Parish House hosts a Friday evening concert by the senior and junior choirs to benefit the Recreation and Advancement Fund. The program features solos by tenor bass and soprano, instrumental trio performances, and selections by the combined choirs under choirmaster Walter H Angell with accompanist Mrs Frank A Rounds.

Bristol County Rhode Island School of Design Alumni Association sponsors a public lecture March 6 at Colt Memorial High School auditorium. Mystery Ride Planned by Collins and Aikman Girls Club

At the Col lins & Aikman Girls Club meeting in Plant J lounge a standard committee for posters and programs was formed. Priscilla Brelsford named chair with Anne George and Virginia Johnson assisting. Final plans set for the Valentine’s Day Mystery Ride this Thursday. Members attending should arrive at Plant J by 5:30. Refreshments served by Mrs. Tétreault and Mrs. McKenna.

Women’s Club hears flower arrangement talk in Bristol

The Bristol Women’s Club met at the Y M C A last evening with Mrs. Sebastian Bernard Jr delivering a lecture titled The Elements of Flower Arrangement. Floral displays illustrated techniques while attendees learned methods for special effects. refreshments followed in the Haffenreffer Room.
