WPA Workers Quit Over Cold on Ferry Road Project
About 75 WPA laborers quit yesterday on the Ferry road sewer extension in Bristol County due to extreme cold. They returned today to find the project halted by the engineer John Bernard as temperatures hovered around eight to sixteen degrees. They plan to appeal to State WPA administrator J Burleigh Cheney over pay and treatment.

McMahon Captures Suspect After Bristol Yacht Club Break‑In
